Bridge race is fun game that combines racing with collecting blocks. Maybe inspired from fortnight, you get to build as you zip through. You play with other opponents. And to win, you need to prevent your opponents from getting on your stairs and get to the last level before anyone else does.

This game caught our eye, we saw that it had 250 million downloads. Whoa! We had to review it.

So, this a nice game – you get to race and loot – and you get to compete with other people. We think that these three elements make this game interesting and creates a good replay-value

You have more than 1000 levels of adventurous gameplay and you have a decent number of in-game interactions like elevators, sliders, zip-lines and trampolines. All you have to do, is to find the blocks of your own color – sounds simple? It isn’t because you got other players competing with you.

Features

You get a high level of customization in this game – you can customize the blocks and your character. Don’t worry, you get more than 80 characters to try out and there are different kinds of blocks too – more than 30 colors. Additionally, you can customize the colors of your characters and the color of their skins.

So like any other game, you have in-game purchases and you get the no-ads bundle or other bundles that contain unique characters and blocks.

There are different cities that you can play in and you have your own roadmap. Maybe you can repeat a level for the perfect score.

This is a competitive game and has a leaderboard – so if you collect more blocks and do it fast, you get more stars, which helps you climb the leaderboard.

So, the developers decided to reduce the size of the game to half, reducing the memory usage while increasing the launch speed. We guess the developers are listening to their user base and have implemented some nice changes that will make this game better. The graphics are much better, game performance has increased and they also bought a new Seaview.

Graphics and Sound

Every once in a while, you get a game that is built with passion – it has an immersive environment and is wrapped in innovation. This can be said for Bridge Race. It has a large player base that are in the millions and this game was an instant hit. The graphics are very pleasing to the eye, there is something about the animations that really make you adore the game. The developers also choose good sounds for the game, satisfying sounds that are not annoying – they are just right.

The levels are imaginative and that being said, we give it 5 stars. The game is easy and fun to play. Though this genre can become repetitive if you are not competitive. But it is not like a sweaty game that keeps you on your toes, this game gives you a littles competition and is generally a light-hearted and casual game that you can play anytime. We found it to be a good game to release some stress.

Final Thoughts

If you are playing the free version then you will see a lot of ads and while we understand that the developers make money off that (and they deserve it), we think that the number of ads could be reduced a little, because it comes to a point when start thinking that you are actually watching ads and not playing the game. So, we bought the no-ad bundle, and life became easier, it is only $3.99, so it’s not like you are going to break the bank.

Overall, this game has great potential. With a strong player base, this game has everything it needs to grow bigger

Generally, you just bump into other players and knock them off the level and perhaps they could add something else in tandem that helps knock players off the level. And the levels are well designed but they seemed monotonous, which is not really a bad thing. In competitive games, people care more about the competition.

So, we think that Bridge Race is worth the download, though, we recommend that you get the no-ad bundle, or else, you will be plagued with ads.
